John Lennon - John Lennon (October 9, 1940 – December 8, 1980) was best known as a singer, songwriter, poet and guitarist for the British rock band The Beatles. He was christened John Winston Lennon, he later changed it to John Ono Lennon by deed poll in 1969. John Lennon's jukebox - In 1989, John Lennon's jukebox surfaced in an auction of Beatles memorabilia at Christie's, and was sold for £2,500 to Bristol-based music promoter John Midwinter. Lennon had apparently bought the jukebox – specifically a Swiss KB Discomatic – in 1965, and filled it with forty singles to take with him on tour. While writing and recording the legendary album in the private studio of their Ascot, England, mansion, the couple allowed Andrew Solt to film the production. A number of songs that were later recorded for Beatles records, were originally written at this time including "I'll Follow The Sun", "When I'm Sixty-Four", and "One After 909".
